Malaysians Care

… about the homeless.

Went to Malaysian Care today as part of our 20hour of community service. Was supposed to meet Khim at KFC main block, and then Cyril drove us all to Malaysian Care Centre at Klang. Once reached, we then went and have a short briefing with the person in charge there, before we left for the drop-in centre in Klang Bus Station.

We were wondering where is the Klang Bus Station, as we had never heard of it before. But we were surprise when we reached it. It was the bus parking building opposite of Pasar Seni LRT station, near Petaling Street. Haha.

Once we got our car parked, this was what we saw…

LOL. We had to admit, Cyril has one of the best parking skills among my friends.

Anyway, we went into the centre and then started a meeting with the people in charge there. His name was Sam, called Uncle Sam. Haha. We chatted for awhile, and then we moved on to mingle around with those people there. Most of them were drug addicts, ex-prisoners, and homeless.

After talking to them for awhile, i find that they were not that “bad” after all.  They were very friendly, and they actually wants to get out of this “darkness“. But the society were not willing to accept them, and hence marginalized them in this country. To the point that they had no place to stay, no jobs to earn from, and then ending up sleeping on the street.

I felt sad for them.

I actually played a game of carom with them,  and i lost. They were so professional at it. In fact, they taught me some techniques and skills. Among the new skills which i learned today was something called “blocking“, whereby you block the hole with one of your pieces so that the opponent has no hole to score, and the only way for the opponent to score is to knock your piece into the hole also, which means you get a free point too. Haha. There is also something called “backstab“, which means you hit the token towards the other end of the board, let it bounce back and then hit the piece into the hole. Although i knew this technique long ago, but i didn’t know there were a name for it, and it also comes with a theory. How to aim, how much force to apply, all of these counts… haha.

We stayed there for about 4 hours or so, and then we left lo.  Went to Kepong Jusco for LUNCH… ya. it was at5pm… lunch… haha. All starving. Then, all of us went before to the 30 Hour Famine Camp (where we starve for 30 hours so that other children may eat ><) except Cyril. And so we took this opportunity to teach him a lesson. haha.

We ate at Food & Peas. Cyril ordered 4 dishes.. he was so hungry i tell you… haha

Community Service

… is tomolo.

Woke up a little late today. Rushed to college only to find out that our lecture starts at 10am… And i was there at 9am. With my dear. Haha. So we talked for awhile, and then she fell asleep. I went on day dreaming till the lecture starts.

Today for Abnormal Psych, we had a guest lecture. A lady. Although some of my classmates complained that she sounded boring and worst as compared to Dr. Ng, i find her quite interesting. I was able to understand the whole lecture. Haha.

After that was lunch. We went to E&C to have lunch. Had Chee Cheong Fun. It’s the only place in HELP where you can find Chee Cheong Fun. haha. Was not full enough… But don’t feel like eating more. So my dear decided to go to DSA for chess practice. And ya, we had some chess practice, just me and my dear. ><

Educational Psych was at 2pm. We went to Lvl5 Wisma HELP to find out that the class was at Blok E. So we rushed to our class, and luckily we weren’t late. The lecturer wasn’t here yet. ><

Anyway, today’s lecture was quite fun too.. I did not fell sleepy. haha. Grats to me…

Class ended at 4pm today. Haha. We then took bus to KLSentral and had a quick meal. KFC cheeze wedges… Nice… And my dear wanted more… So we ordered again… LARGE with extra cheeze… haha. He gave us so much cheeze until we were unable to finish it. =.=

Went home after that.

Now we are busy preparing ourselves for tomolo’s Community Service. I know nothing about what to do tomolo. I guess everyone feels the same too. Haha.

Tomolo will be a tiring day for me. Was supposed to have a meeting with the HIGS committee members but unfortunately i was unable to attend… Need to go for community service. Sad… They kept telling me sorry, because the majority of the group members were free on that time. I tried telling them that i was not really free to go, but they said they had no choice. Hmm…

In-Between

… is a sandwich restaurant.

Had tutorial today at 8.30am. I wasn’t late.. .In fact, my dear was late. Reached the class, and then kept complaining to me that she is hungry, hungry and also hungry. SO i took out a slice of my birthday cake and gave her to eat. Unfortunately, she did not eat it immediately, but kept it till later.

Farah thought us another case study. We were supposed to diagnose a person based on his or her symptoms shown by referring to our text book. It was fun, but we really need to read up a little on it before going for the tutorial. Or not we will be looking like fools answering Farah’s question blindly. And oh yes, Farah agreed to diagnose her future clients for free… haha. That was supposed to be a joke… =.=

Anyway, after the tutorial, we had a short discussion with Cyril and Khim, about most of our assignments. We had some nasi lemak while discussing, and then my dear ate the cake as well. Planning when to do the community service thing, for our Abnormal Psych. Hmm… things are going so fast these days that i hardly have time to breathe. I need a rest… How i wished i am still having my holidays… And this Chinese New Year only gives us 2 days holidays… I want more…

After that, we went to Wisma HELP’s DSA for awhile to wait for my friends for lunch. While waiting, my dear played chess with me.

Time was 1pm. Went to Lan for lunch, but no place to fit all of us. There were 8 of us, all my friends. Haha. So they decided to go to In-Between instead. It is a sandwich restaurant, something similar to SubWay. The food there was rather expensive too… I wasn’t full when i left the restaurant, but did not go for more… Haha.

Today has been a usual day for me.

Went to college in the morning, i think around 11pm. Reached, then waited for my dear to arrive.

Dear arrived at 1pm. LOL. Waited so long. But she made me sandwiches. ><

Last piece… so nice the egg sandwiches my dear made… >< 

So, we went to Lan Maju and ordered a Maggie Goreng Double for lunch. We had some of the egg sandwiches that my dear made for me also. Nice.

After that, we went and meet with our PSY204 group members to discuss about our project title. Our member consist of Khim, Cyril, Yeow Yang, Dear and ME ><. We were supposed to choose a title and then submit it by the 28th of January, which is today. And they (tutors) only told us to do so during the weekend, thru email. *hint hint*

Never mind about that. Anyway, we managed to come up with our own title, and then went for his class at 3pm. I have to admit, i really can’t concentrate during his lecture. Its like, monotonous. Hmm….

Anyway, we managed to stay till the end of his class. And then we went home by taking public transport. We need to push and pack with all those aunties who were so eager to get on the van as if there were no tomolo…. And once they are in the van, they take all the front seats, making everyone climbing over and having a tough time going into the van to get to the back seat. C’mon aunty, it’s a VAN, not bus. Fill it up from the back so that others can get it ! You were blessed with a brain for a reason…

And then the van moved, and turned so sharply into a so called short cut. He speed all the way, making several sharp turns and emergency breaks, only to end up arriving behind the van which happened to be in front of him when he picked us all up at Jalan Dungun… Noobs man…

Now i think i need to find some past research to support my new title, as well as prepare myself for tomolo’s discussion… Educational Psych… I was being elected as the leader, and our assignment is to create a GAME for kids… I love creating games… but the games which i create were computer games.. using some programming software.. I’ll see how i can integrate it into this…. ><

… is a short form for “Oh Shoot ! It’s Monday”.

Yea. Tomolo is Monday already. So fast. Felt as if i did not have a weekend at all. haha.

Today spent the whole day rotting at home, trying to clean up my room. haha. Ya. Most of the days i will be spending on cleaning and packing my room. Bored rite?

Went to Pasar Malam with my fren Jehou in the evening. He wanted to buy shoes. LOL. For chinese new year. Hmm.. .and then i got an sms from my dear updating me about what Cyril updated her about our group project. I was also confused and lazy to go and do already. Its just the beginning of the semester and we are already talking about our assignments. Furthermore, I am currently in my Chinese New Year spirit…haha.

Although no plans yet for my chinese new year holiday, but i still wan holiday.

My dear will be going places during this coming holiday. Bored le… leave me alone…
